Our Commitment
Pluto is built with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, browsing history, or usage analytics. Your experience with Pluto stays entirely on your device.
Data Collection
We collect nothing. Pluto does not use any analytics services, tracking pixels, cookies, or telemetry. There are no accounts to create and no data to share.
Third-Party Services
Pluto connects to the following external services solely to provide its features:
- Unsplash / Pexels — to fetch background images. These services have their own privacy policies.
- Open-Meteo — to fetch weather data based on a city name you provide. No personal location data is sent automatically.
No user data is sent to these services beyond what is necessary for the feature to function (e.g., a city name for weather).
Local Storage
Pluto stores your preferences (selected background, widget settings, favorites) locally in your browser's storage. This data never leaves your device.
Open Source
Pluto is fully open source under the MIT License. You can inspect the entire codebase on GitHub to verify these claims.
